CIRCUIT MINDS
Sting says musicians face “a battle” to defend their work against the rise of songs written by artificial intelligence.
“The building blocks of music belong to us, to human beings. That’s going to be a battle we all have to fight in the next couple of years: Defending our human capital against AI.”
Circuit Minds is an interdisciplinary art and design project that connects artificial intelligence with the analog world of music.
Except for the lead singer, all band members are AI creations, designed both musically and visually through neural networks. Tools like Midjourney and ChatGPT shape the band’s identity, from logos to album covers, making it appear like a real group.
Circuit Minds showcases how AI and creativity can merge, raising questions about the future and ethics of AI-generated music while setting new standards for multimedia design.
The band’s work is shown only in analog form. Even though it was created with AI in the clouds and networks, it’s presented in a more hands-on, real way.
The center of the installation is a tape recorder that plays Circuit Minds’ songs on repeat, along with a box full of band photos, backstage passes, and concert flyers. Visitors can also buy merch like T-shirts and tapes.
The idea is to make AI-made music easy to experience for everyone—especially for people who love old-school Rock’n’Roll.
